At Novoptim, we recognize the significant impact of our carbon footprint and are committed to achieving carbon neutrality as part of our CSR project. In 2024, we took a significant step forward by officially calculating our emissions with ClimatePartner and fully offsetting our annual emissions through the sponsorship of a certified climate project.
Our company has proudly financed the reduction of 52 tonnes of CO₂ by supporting an impactful initiative in Laos. In a country where 80% of households rely on boiling water over wood or coal fires to make it safe for drinking, the environmental and health impacts are considerable. This project tackles both challenges by providing ceramic water filters to rural communities.
These filters eliminate harmful bacteria and impurities without the need for boiling, significantly reducing CO₂ emissions and improving daily life. Clean water is collected in large, tap-accessible containers, offering a simple yet life-changing solution. This project, which aims to distribute over 100,000 ceramic filters, offers long-term environmental and health benefits.
